Silex is a single vineyard wine, aged in jars for 2 to 3 years. It comes from the "Les Trois Coins" plot, with a very stony Jurassic soil.
This Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame is a deep and intense wine, with aromas of ripe black fruits, spices, licorice and a slight menthol note.
Balance and consistency in the mouth, with high quality tannins that are both solid and melted, and great length.
Gentle maceration for 25 to 30 days, light pressing.
Aged for 2 to 3 years in stoneware jars to bring the taste maturity while preserving the aromatic finesse.
Serve at 13/16°C.
