Craie is a single vineyard wine, aged in jars for 2 to 3 years. It comes from the "Coulée d'Arthenay" plot, with a poor Turonian chalk soil.
This Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame is a brightly colored wine with golden hues and sweet aromas of white flowers, hawthorn and quince.
Very fresh in the mouth, it has a beautiful harmony of taste and a silky finish.
Soft pressing, slow fermentation at cool temperature.
Aged for 2 to 3 years in stoneware jars. The jar, very protective, preserves in a surprising way the aromatic freshness.
Serve chilled, between 8 and 10°C.
The white Saumur Craie is perfect with fish and poultry in sauce.
